Ohio Valley Opportunities Energy Assistance Program Taking Applications

The program will begin on November 1.

(Madison, Ind.) – Ohio Valley Opportunities is currently accepting applications for its Energy Assistance Program (EAP).

The EAP helps low-income Hoosiers meet the high cost of home heating and cooling. Ohio Valley Opportunities provides over 3,000 households each year with assistance in paying gas and electric bills or with purchasing wood, propane, and other bulk fuels.

Ohio Valley Opportunities also provides energy education to participants to teach them ways in which to increase energy efficiency within their homes and decrease their energy cost. Their goal is that all residents in our community are able to enjoy adequate heating and cooling throughout the year.

Ohio Valley Opportunities provides all of its services without regard to race, age, religion, sex, disability, national origin, ancestry, or status as a veteran.

If you would like to apply for the Energy Assistance Program, you can visit https://ovoinc.org/energy-assistance-program/ or you can also visit Ohio Valley Opportunities located at 421 Walnut Street, Madison, to pick up or drop off an application.
