Update On Milton-Madison Bridge Approach

Beaty also stated that the pedestrian walkway on the bridge will reopen soon as well.

(Madison, Ind.) – During their second meeting of the month on Monday, the Madison Board of Public works provided updates on the Milton-Madison Bridge approach project.

Kyle Beaty of Beaty Construction joined the board to speak about the approach stating that there has been a delay in the project, so the completion date will be later than originally announced. A majority of the work which includes drainage, concrete pouring, and infrastructure will be completed by mid-December.

Crews will then return again in April to complete the surface pavement and permanent pavement markings, which are both temperature-sensitive. The temporary traffic signal that is in place will be removed and a four-way traffic signal will be put into operation.

Beaty also stated that the pedestrian walkway on the bridge will reopen soon as well.
