Two Rooms Damaged, No Injuires Reported In Apartment Fire

Fire crews quickly entered and checked the apartment and confirmed that the apartment was not occupied.

(Madison, Ind.) – Crews with the Madison Fire and Madison Police Departments responded to the report of heavy smoke coming from a second-story window in the 500 block of Jefferson Street.

Upon arrival, units reported a working fire on the second floor. Initial reports indicated that the apartments may be occupied.

Fire crews quickly entered and checked the apartment and confirmed that the apartment was not occupied. The fire was extinguished, and the fire damage was limited to two rooms.
