TWO BROTHERS CONVICTED ON SEXUAL MISCONDUCT CHARGES

THIS STEMS FROM A DECEMBER 2022 INCIDENT

Two Jefferson County brothers who were both charged with felony child molesting and sexual misconduct with a minor in December 2022 pleaded guilty to an amended charge of Sexual Misconduct with a Minor, a Level 5 felony, in August and were sentenced to 6 years prison.

Keegan William Clement, 20, of Madison, and his brother Dyllon Wayne Joseph Clement, 21, of Hanover, were both facing Level 3 felonies for Child Molesting involving a pre-teen victim in June 2021. The charges were filed after a lengthy investigation by multiple local agencies.

They pleaded guilty in August to the amended charge, were before Jefferson Circuit Judge DJ Mote in late September for sentencing hearings and Mote issued his final orders on Oct. 5.

Both brothers were sentenced to 6 years at Indiana Department of Correction with one year executed and 1,703 days suspended to supervised probation with Jefferson County Community Corrections plus $389 in fees and court costs each. They were given credit for 363 days jail served since their incarceration on Dec. 21, 2022. Their projected release date to probation is Dec. 21.

MPD Det. Jeremey Perkins investigated the case and obtained arrest warrants for the brothers after a lengthy investigation. He was assisted in the investigation by MPD Det. Shawn Scudder, the Children’s Advocacy Center of Southeastern Indiana, and the Jefferson County Prosecutor’s Office.
