This incident occurred on January 12.

(Madison, Ind.) - On January 12, the Madison Police Department executed a search warrant on a room at the Bestway Inn located at 700 Clifty Drive.
This search warrant was the result of a narcotics investigation led by Detective Kyle Cutshaw, Detective Ricky Harris, and Senior Patrolman Aaron Watson.
As a result of the executed warrant, Madison Police arrested 51-year-old Dawn Goens and 31-year-old Christopher L. Giltner both of Madison. During a search of the rented room, officers seized methamphetamine, syringes, currency, and a stolen handgun.
Goens now faces the alleged preliminary charges of dealing in methamphetamine (level 2 felony), possession of methamphetamine (level 4 felony), theft/possession of a firearm (level 6 felony), and maintaining a common nuisance (level 6 felony).
Giltner now faces the alleged preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine (level 4 felony), possession of a syringe (level 6 felony), and visiting a common nuisance (class a misdemeanor).
The investigating officers were assisted by the Madison Police Officers Wallace, Perkins, Scudder, Barnes, Smith, Blankenship, and Sweet.
