Trimble Co. Schools Remain Virtual Until Dec. 14, Meal Distribution Update

Meal pickup can be done between 12:00 and 1:30 p.m.

(Trimble County, Ky.) – Trimble County Public Schools announced today that they will not be returning to in-person learning on December 7.

This change is due to an executive order that was enacted by Governor Beshear that states there should not be any in-person instruction if the county is in the red category.

As of yesterday, Trimble County entered the red level with the incidence rate being 35.4, the rate needs to be at least 25 or below to return to in person.

The school stated that they will re-evaluate the county incidence rate again next Thursday to determine if in-person learning could resume on December 14. Until that time, students will remain in the virtual learning setting.

The school also stated that they are still distributing meals to kids in the community from ages 1 to 18. The school will be giving out 7 meals each Friday, families are able to pick up the meals at the rear of the high school or a Milton elementary school.

Meal pickup can be done between 12:00 and 1:30 p.m.

If you were signed up in the past to have meals delivered, the school busses will be distributing those meals. The school is asking if you will not be home to accept the delivery, please place a cooler or tote at the end of your drive and we will gladly put your food inside the container.
