Traffic Stop Leads to Finding Two Pounds of Methamphetamine

(Scotts County, Ind.) - Two pounds of methamphetamine was during a traffic stop.

Trooper Kyle Taylor, of the Indiana State Police in Sellersburg, was patrolling on I-65 in Scott County when he observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and initiated a traffic stop.

Under further investigation, it was found that the driver of the vehicle Derek Ellis, 39, of Indianapolis, Indiana was found to be wanted out of Marion County.

The investigation also uncovered two pounds of methamphetamine and a small amount of marijuana.

Ellis, along with his passenger Tyesha Bell, 31, also of Indianapolis were arrested on the charges of dealing in methamphetamine (level 2 felony), Possession of methamphetamine (level 3 felony), and possession of marijuana (a misdemeanor).

Sergeant John Cleveland and Trooper Cameron Collins assisted Trooper Taylor with the stop and investigation.
