Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Arrest

(Madison, Ind.) – A Dupont woman was arrested following a traffic stop for a false/inactive license plate.

Following the stop, Madison Police Patrolman Trent Smith and Cameron Blankenship identified the driver of the car as 39-year-old Amanda S. Sullivan. A check of her driving status revealed that she was a suspended driver.

During a subsequent inventory of the vehicle, for the purposes of towing, officers located methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Sullivan was then taken into custody and now faces preliminary alleged charges of possession of methamphetamine (level 6 felony), and possession of paraphernalia (class a misdemeanor).
