(Harrison County, Ind.) - Two Indiana State Troopers were patrolling State Road 135 in Harrison County yesterday when they noticed a white Hyundai Sonata displaying green lights on the front of the car.

When officers Troopers Zachary Lavey and Trooper Dakota Novak attempted to catch up with the vehicle, driver Damon Michael Arnold, 46, of Georgetown increased his speed continuing south into Corydon, where he then pulled into a local hotel.

Officers continued the stop for the green lights and began an investigation where they discovered over 24 grams of suspected methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug-related paraphernalia.

The officers also found Arnold was a habitual traffic violator with only an Indiana ID card.

Arnold was arrested on the following charges.

Dealing in Methamphetamine (Level 2 Felony), Possession of Methamphetamine (Level 4 Felony), Habitual Traffic Violator (Level 6 Felony), Possession of Marijuana (Class B Misdemeanor), Possession of Paraphernalia (Class C Misdemeanor), Reckless Driving (Class C Misdemeanor).

Arnold was also wanted on a Level 6 Felony warrant out of Floyd County for being a habitual traffic violator. Officers transported Arnold to the Harrison County Jail without further incident.

“All subjects are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in court.”
