German American Bank is aware that some of their customers are receiving a text message that says their “VISA Debit Card is locked.” The text message includes a phone number to call to unlock the card. This is a scam text message and no action should be taken.

If you receive this text message, please do not call the phone number and delete the message. If you received the message and took any action in which you gave your debit card information or other confidential, personal information, please call the Customer Care Center at 800-482-1314.
