(Milton, Ken.) - At approximately 9:30 p.m. yesterday February 9, Milton Fire and Rescue along with the help of Bedford Fire and Trimble County EMS responded to the report of a structure fire at 2298 Liberty Road in Milton.
When crews arrived on the scene, they found the former storage building which has been converted into a residence was fully engulfed.
After an hour of extinguishing the flames both Milton and Bedford, fire crews determined that the cause of the fire was from the woodstove flu being fully blocked which caused the wall and insulation to catch fire.
The male subject was asleep inside when the structure caught fire, he was able to make it out with no injuries.
The residence was a total loss.
