-UPDATE- Two Dead In Possible Murder-Suicide Shooting In Gallatin Co.

Gallatin Co. Schools on one hour delay

-UPDATE 10:00am-

An apparent murder-suicide left two people dead and closed HWY 42 in Warsaw as well as delaying school an hour on Monday morning, according to the Gallatin County Emergency Management Agency and Kentucky State Police.

One man died in the street, and another man died at Carroll County Memorial Hospital, according to Gallatin County EMA.

Officials have not yet released either man's name. Both will undergo autopsies Tuesday in Louisville.

It's not clear what led to the shooting, which happened near a Family Dollar Store at East Main Street and First Street.

Kentucky State Police believe one of the men lived in the area, while the other did not.

Two men are dead in a suspected murder-suicide in Warsaw, according to Gallatin County Emergency Management Agency.

 

-UPDATE 7:45am-

The Gallatin County Coroner's Office, Gallatin County Sheriff's Office and Kentucky State Police are confirming one person died in a shooting in the 100 block of Main Street in Warsaw this morning.

 

-FIRST RELEASE 6:44am-

According to FOX 19, Law enforcement officials are on scene of a shooting in Gallatin County Monday morning, according to dispatchers.

At least one person was reported shot, but there may be more with two ambulances sent to the scene. The shooting happened just the Family Dollar Store at East Main Street and First Street in Warsaw, according to Gallatin County dispatch.

Gallatin County schools are on a one hour delay as a result.

Kentucky State Police received a call to respond and assist the sheriff's office about 4:45 a.m.

“They had a situation with some subjects walking out on the street. It went downhill very fast," a dispatcher said.

Those who use HWY 42 through Warsaw are asked to avoid the area.
