SELLERSBURG, Ind. (WTHR) - Another restaurant worker in southern Indiana has been diagnosed with hepatitis A, health officials said Friday.
The infected person works at the Arby's on South Indiana Avenue in Sellersburg, just east of the exit to Interstate 65.
According to WAVE 3, customers who ate at the restaurant between April 17-18 and April 21-25 may have been exposed to the hepatitis A virus.
Last week, a Taco Bell employee in Floyd County was diagnosed with hepatitis A. Those traveling to Kentucky have been urged to get their hepatitis A vaccination before heading south as the outbreak spreads across the northern part of the state.
Clark County is in an area defined as a hepatitis A outbreak area.
Kentucky health officials say symptoms may show up 15-30 days after being exposed to hepatitis A, so those who ate at the Arby's location are being urged to monitor symptoms carefully. Symptoms include fever, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, abdominal and joint pain, among others.
