Scottsburg Man Arrested For Narcotics Possession

Traffic stop lead to Arrest

Thursday, at approximately 9:00 PM  Madison Police arrested Ellis L. Riley 58, Scottsburg, Indiana, on Level six felony charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of a syringe.  

Riley was taken into custody following a traffic stop executed by Madison Police Patrolman Cameron Blankenship on Harrison Street.  The stop led to the discovery of the narcotics and paraphernalia, in the white Kia passenger car, which Riley was operating.  

Patrolman Blankenship was assisted by MPD Officer's Nichole Midgett and Wayne Phillips.  Riley has the presumption of innocence until otherwise proven guilty.  .
