Scott County Sheriff: Coronavirus Will Not Stop Us From Doing Our Job

(Scott County, Ind.) - Scott County Sheriff’s Office is not letting the coronavirus stop them from doing their jobs and protecting the residents of Scott County.

On April 13, the office had two drug-related arrests on different incidences.

The first Deputy Johnney Coomer conducted a traffic stop in rural Scott County. After investigation Daniel Goetzinger, 32, of Underwood was arrested for possession of cocaine or a schedule I or II narcotic drug at least 5 grams but less than 10 grams, possession of marijuana, resisting law enforcement, and violation of the governor’s order.

The second arrest, Deputies Johnney Coomer, John Hartman, and Skylar Thompson checked a suspicious vehicle on Slateford Road in rural Scott County. After investigation Camren Zanier, 24, of Austin was arrested for dealing in methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia, and violation of the governor’s order.

These two arrests are also part of Sheriff Goodin’s promise to help keep Scott County safe and drug-free.
