(Indianapolis, Ind.) – Many Indiana public and private will be getting a boost to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 when the 2020-21 school year begins.
During Governor Eric Holcomb’s news conference on Wednesday, the Indiana Economic Development Corporation announced they have acquired PPE for both public and private schools that requested help through the Department of Education.
In total, 472 school districts and private schools are participating.
Each school that participates will receive more than one reusable cloth face mask for each student, 500 adult disposable face masks, 10 gallons of hand sanitizer, and 100 two- or four-ounce bottles of hand sanitizer.
The PPE will be donated to the participating schools at no cost.
According to the Indiana State Teachers Association, a list of participating schools has not yet been made available.
