Pipe Lining Scheduled At Seven Sites

The contractor plans to start work after the July 4 holiday at the Jefferson County site

JEFFERSON, MORGAN, RIPLEY & WASHINGTON COUNTIES—Indiana Department of Transportation officials met with a representative of Temple & Temple Excavating & Paving Inc. this afternoon (MAY 11) at Seymour District offices to discuss implementation of a $1,095,842 pipe lining project awarded to the Salem-based contractor last month. 

 

Pipe lining operations to repair or reinforce existing drainage pipes under state highways at seven locations will begin in early July.  The contract completion date is October 31. 

 

Drainage structure sites are:             

JEFFERSON COUNTY      State Road 62 located 3.4 miles east of U.S. Highway 421

 

MORGAN COUNTY            S.R. 67 located 4.5 miles north of S.R. 39 near Martinsville—this pipe lining operation will require closing a single lane of  S.R. 67

RIPLEY COUNTY                S.R. 129 located just south of S.R. 48; S.R. 129 located 2.25 miles north of S.R. 350; S.R. 129 located 1.8 miles north of S.R. 350; S.R. 129 located 4.21 miles north of U.S. 50

 

WASHINGTON COUNTY   S.R. 56 located 8.6 miles east of S.R. 135

 

Pipe lining operations for each structure will last of approximately one week.  The contractor plans to start work after the July 4 holiday at the Jefferson County site.
