Passed Out Person Lands Two In Jail On Drug Charges

Large amount of drugs taken off the streets

                                      

July 2, 2023, Madison Police responded to the 1900 block of Cragmont Street, reference a male passed out in a vehicle.  Madison Police Officers Cameron Blankenship, Trent Smith, Colton Fox, and Cody Short responded.

Officers located the vehicle in question and found it occupied by Jada A. Perry 21, Madison, Indiana, and Frederick D. Dangler 21, Greencastle, Indiana.

K-9 “Colt’ conducted an open-air sniff around the exterior of the vehicle in which Perry and Dangler occupied.  “Colt” gave his handler, Officer Trent Smith,  a positive indication for the presence of narcotics in the vehicle.

With probable cause established, Officers conducted a search of the vehicle in which narcotics were located.  Officers located and seized 332 “Perk 30’s” pills pressed with fentanyl, cash, handgun, and paraphernalia associated with the use of drugs.

Jada Perry and Frederick Dangler were taken into custody and face preliminary alleged charges of – dealing a narcotic drug level 2 felony, possession of a narcotic drug level 6 felony and possession of paraphernalia associated with the use of drugs class c misdemeanor.  All charges against Perry and Dangler are alleged, both have the presumption of innocence until otherwise proven guilty.
