Kentucky one of 25 states
Add Kentucky to the list of states where someone got sick from eating tainted lettuce.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention yesterday confirmed a case of E. coli in the state, likely from someone who ate romaine lettuce.
In all, 25 states across the country have reported at least one illness.
The CDC says 125 people have gotten sick, and one person has died from eating the tainted lettuce.
Information collected to date indicates that chopped romaine lettuce from the Yuma, Arizona growing region could be contaminated with E. coli O157:H7 and could make people sick.
