(Madison, Ind.) – On July 16, Patrolman Cameron Blankenship observed a vehicle typically driven by Christina M. Walters, 25, of Madison traveling southbound on Highway 421.

Office Blankenship had prior knowledge that Walters was suspended, and reportedly involved in narcotic related activities.

Officer Blankenship initiated a traffic stop, where he found the Walters, the owner of the vehicle, was in the passenger seat. Cory Lane, 30, of Madison was found to be operating the vehicle on a suspended Indiana driver's license.

Without a valid driver in the vehicle, officers conducted an inventory of the car prior to towing. Patrolman Jared Sweet assisted Blankenship with a search of the vehicle.

During the search, officers found multiple narcotics such as methamphetamine, cocaine, and Oxycodone pill. In addition, officers located precursors known to be associated with the manufacturing of methamphetamine.

The initial investigation indicated the narcotics were in the possession of Walters, and there she was arrested for possession.

Walters faces the following preliminary alleged charges; dealing in methamphetamine (level 3 felony), dealing in a schedule 1,2, or 3 controlled substance, possession of cocaine (level 5 felony), possession of methamphetamine (level 5 felony), maintaining a common nuisance (level 6 felony), and possession of paraphernalia (class c misdemeanor).

The investigation is still ongoing.
