(Madison, Ind.) -  It was a special night at the Madison City Council meeting last night.

Mayor Bob Courtney honored Mr. Harold "PeeWee" Lakeman as a Distinguished Citizen.

Lakeman had served under the leadership of 6 mayors, spearheaded the Rucker's Sports Complex, and a little fun fact for you he gave Mayor Courtney his first jobs with the Parks Department when he was 14 years old.

He was also a member of the 1959 Madison Cubs Team which advanced to the semi-state

With all these accomplishments he earned the nickname The Legend.
