Madison Police Arrest Two On Narcotic Charges

Traffic Stop Lead To Arrest

                                    

August 7, 2022, Madison Police arrested Jeffrey D. Adams 49, Madison, Indiana, and Anna N. Hosmer 48, Madison, Indiana, on narcotic related charges.

Madison Police Patrolman Curtis Shelpman executed a traffic stop on Ferry Street for an equipment violation.  The vehicle was driven by Adams, with Hosmer a passenger.  

Patrolman Ben Flint and his K-9 partner MEKO arrived on scene, where MEKO conducted an open air sniff around the vehicle.  MEKO gave his handler a positive indication for the presence of narcotics.  The subsequent search led to the discovery of drugs.

Jeffrey Adams faces preliminary alleged charges of possession of methamphetamine L-6 felony and possession of paraphernalia class C misdemeanor.  Anna N. Hosmer faces preliminary alleged charges of possession of methamphetamine L-6 felony, unlawful possession of a syringe L-6 felony, possession of a controlled substance class B misdemeanor and possession of paraphernalia class C misdemeanor. All charges are alleged, both Adams and Hosmer have the presumption of innocence until otherwise proven guilty. In addition to Flint, Officer Shelpman was assisted by Captain Season Jackson, Sr. Ptl. Josh Nolan and Patrolman Graham Heffelfinger.
