Madison Police Arrest Three On Narcotics Related Charges

The police department also seized methamphetamine, syringes, and paraphernalia as evidence.

(Madison, Ind.) – On February 12, the City of Madison police department executed a search warrant on a residence located in the 130 block of Taft Drive.

This warrant was the result of an ongoing narcotics investigation led by Detective Kyle Cutshaw, Detective Ricky Harris, Patrolman Cameron Blankenship, and Patrolman Trent Smith. 

As a result of the executed search warrant, three were arrested on multiple drug charges. The police department also seized methamphetamine, syringes, and paraphernalia as evidence.

Those arrested and their alleged charges are as follows:

Ashley Nelson, 32:

  • preliminary alleged charges of possession of methamphetamine (level 6 felony), possession of paraphernalia (class a misdemeanor), and visiting a common nuisance (class b misdemeanor).  

Jason Harrell, 43:

  • preliminary alleged charges of possession of methamphetamine (level 6 felony), visiting a common nuisance (class b misdemeanor), and trespassing (class a misdemeanor).  Harrell had previously trespassed from the Presidential Estates Complex.

Charles Douglas-Bladen, 38:

  • faces preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine (level 6 felony), possession of a syringe (level 6 felony), obstruction (level 6 felony), possession of marijuana (class b misdemeanor), and visiting a common nuisance (class b misdemeanor). The obstruction charge was filed as Bladen allegedly attempted to conceal evidence.
