VICTIM RECEIVED MEDICAL TREATMENT
February 8, 2022, Madison Police arrested Robert R. ("Rob T") Taylor 45, Madison, Indiana, on a host of domestic battery related charges.
The victim reported to Madison Police Patrolman Cameron Blankenship, the lead investigator, that her boyfriend Robert Taylor battered her and held her against her will for several days. The victim had obvious physical injuries, which required medical treatment.
Madison Police Officers were able to locate Taylor at a residence in the 600 block of Green Road. Taylor refused to cooperate with officers, which required forced entry into the residence in order to take him into custody. During a security sweep of the residence, officers noted narcotics and paraphernalia in plain view.
A narcotic search warrant for the residence was sought and obtained. During the execution of the search warrant, officers seized methamphetamine, syringes, and paraphanailia associated with the use of drugs.
Robert Taylor faces preliminary alleged charges of Kidnapping Level 3 felony, Criminal Confinement (resulting serious bodily injury) Level 3 felony, Domestic Battery Level 5 felony, and Intimidation Level 6 felony.
This is an ongoing criminal investigation with additional charges possible. Robet Ralph Francis Taylor has the presumption of innocence until otherwise proven guilty. Captain Dan Slygh and Sr. Patrolman Chad Wehner assisted Blankenship. Taylor was on community corrections at the time of his arrest.
