Madison Police arrested Jeremy D. McDarment 32, Madison, Indiana, for resisting law enforcement, and domestic battery related charges.  Madison Police Captain Dan Slygh led the investigation into the domestic battery allegation.  As Slygh was obtaining information from the victim, Madison Police Sr. Patrolman Adam Guzman located the suspect vehicle, driven by McDarment, on U.S. Highway #421.  Probable cause for McDarment's arrest had been established.

Officer Guzman attempted to stop McDarment's vehicle on #421, however he refused to yield.  The slow speed pursuit continued north of #421 and west on Dawson - Smith Road, where McDarment eventually yielded to police. McDarment was eventually taken into custody without further incident.

Jeremy D. McDarment faces preliminary alleged charges of L-6 domestic battery, L-6 resisting law enforcement, and "A" misdemeanor of obstruction of justice.  McDarment has the presumption of innocence until otherwise proven guilty.
