Madison Man Arrested for Allegedly Dealing Meth

Arrest at Englewood Motel for alleged dealing

(Madison, Ind.) - On August 31, Madison Police arrested Michael D. Woods 53, of Madison, for possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute (level 5 felony) and possession of methamphetamine (level 6 felony). 

As a result of a narcotics investigation led by Madison Police Detectives Ricky Harris and Kyle Cutshaw, a search warrant was obtained for Room # 1 at the Englewood Motel, which was Woods was rented. Investigators located and seized methamphetamine, electronic devices, and paraphernalia associated with the use and distribution of narcotics.  

Woods was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jefferson County Jail where he awaits his initial hearing on the preliminary alleged charges.  Woods has the presumption of innocence until otherwise proven guilty.  

The detectives were assisted by MPD Officers Wallace, Demaree, Wehner & Watterson.
