At approximately 12:40 on Friday January 3rd, The Madison Fire Department responded to 300 East Main Street, the Jefferson County Courthouse for the report of an burning odor on the second floor.
Upon arrival there were no smoke or fire conditions reported.
Contact was made with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputy’s providing security and the entire building was checked.
There were no smoke conditions located.
The building was turned back over to the maintenance staff with no incidents reported.
