Man Arrested For Child Molestation, Woman Arrested for Drugs

NORTH VERNON MAN ARRESTED FOR CHILD MOLESTATION, WOMAN FOUND WITH DRUGS

On May 17, 2021 in the morning hours, Michael Waskom (age 36, previously of North Vernon) was taken into custody at his Jefferson County residence on the charges of Child Molesting. Members of the Jennings County Sheriff’s Office, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and the Indiana State Police executed the arrest warrant.

The arrest stems from a lengthy investigation by detectives with the Jennings County Sheriff’s Office where an arrest warrant was subsequently obtained.

During the arrest, Waskom was found to be in possession of Methamphetamine. A female at the residence, Amy Trowbridge (age 41 of Scipio), was also taken into custody for Possession of Methamphetamine.

Both subjects were transported to the Jefferson County Jail to be held on local charges. Waskom will be transported to the Jennings County Jail once the Jefferson County case is resolved.
