(Jennings County, Ind.) – Deputies with the Jennings County Sheriff’s Office with the assistance of the Brown County Sheriff’s Office completed an investigation on March 16, that involved the apprehension of a wanted Columbus, Indiana man.
After a thorough search consisting of more than 5 counties and 2 states, deputies were able to take 46-year-old Archie Horton, into custody as he was leaving a residence on Pearl Street, in Columbus.
Horton was wanted in 7 counties including Washington, Shelby, Monroe, Clark, Brown, Jennings, and Bartholomew with additional charges pending in multiple other counties and Kentucky.
Horton was wanted for multiple counts of auto theft, check fraud, theft, probation violation, and check deception in various counties.
Jennings County Deputy Matt Miller and Brown County Deputy Greg Duke worked together to obtain Horton’s whereabouts to successfully take him into custody without incident.
Horton is currently being held in the Brown County Jail.
