Jefferson County Under Travel Advisory

Until road conditions improve

                                                                             

 

 After Consulting with Jefferson County Commissioners, National Weather Service, County Highway Dpt.

Jefferson County is under a level 2 travel advisory due to most secondary roadways being snow and ice covered. This makes travel dangerous and roadways impassable, please use discretion and restrict any non essential travel until conditions improve. 

The National Weather Service is predicting wind chill temperatures as low as -15 degrees overnight with below freezing temperatures lasting into next week.  

County and State Highway crews are working tirelessly to improve conditions. Emergency Services Crews are responding to accidents and stranded motorists.

Please do your part in keeping our Citizens and First Responders safe by avoid unnecessary travel.
