(Jefferson County, Ind.) – The Jefferson County Courthouse announced today their stage 3 plans of reopening the county offices.
Beginning next week anybody who is wanting to vote can come into the courthouse.
During this stage some of the county offices are still closed to an appointment-only basis, while others are open to walk-in.
It is asked that when you come into the courthouse that you please wear a mask, and practice social distancing.
Offices available for appointment only are:
- Assessor
- Auditor
- Circuit Court
- Commissioners Office
- Health Department
- Probation
- Prosecutor
- Purdue Extension Office
- Recorder
- Soil & Water
- Superior Court
- Surveyor
- Treasurer
- Veteran Service Office
Phone numbers for all of these offices can be found on the Jefferson County website.
Offices that are available for walk-ins and appointments are:
- Court Services - Limited to 2 people entering at a time
- Health Department – The waiting area closed, may be asked to wait outside until the office area is clear of individuals
- Early Voting – The courthouse doors will be open for those wishing to early vote. You do not need an appointment. If the voting area gets congested, you may be asked to wait outside to help maintain social distancing.
