INDIANAPOLIS - Indiana's unemployment rate saw a slight uptick in December.

According to the Indiana Department of Workforce Development, the state's jobless rate rose from 4.4 percent in November to 4.5 percent in December.

By comparison, Indiana's unemployment rate is above the national rate of 4.1 percent.

As of December 27, there were 84,578 open job postings throughout the state. As of the week ending on December 28, 2024, Indiana had 24,631 continued unemployment insurance claims filed.
