(Indianapolis, Ind.) – It’s a beautiful weekend for Hoosier residents to do some free fishing in Indiana public waters.

June 6-7 all Indiana residents can fish in public waters without having a fishing license.

The Indiana DNR announced today that they are extending all 2019-20 annual licenses and stamps until the end of June.

Licenses that will be affected due to this extension are; annual hunting licenses, annual fishing licenses, hunting & fishing combination licenses, youth licenses, trapping licenses, trout/salmon stamp privileges, waterfowl stamp privileges, and gamebird habitat stamp privileges.

After the end of June, you will need to purchase a 2020-21 license and/or stamp to hunt, fish, or trap. Any hunter wishing to participate in reserved draws in early July will need a 2020-21 license to enter.

DNR properties are open and have abundant fishing opportunities. For public fishing area and access sites, you can visit the Indiana DNR website.
