MADISON, Ind. -- The Habitat for Humanity Restore is a discount home-improvement store located in Madison, Indiana. Customer sales support the mission of Habitat for Humanity to build safe, affordable homes in Jefferson County.

There were many homes that sustained flood and/or storm-related damage in our region as a result of the severe weather Friday night. Homeowners that need to repair or refurnish their homes due to the storms are eligible for a $100 credit at the Restore.

“We understand that a lot of people in Jefferson County are dealing with costly repairs from the storm,” said Restore Manager Rachel Shields. “So, as part of our mission of providing safe, affordable shelter we want to be available to those who need a hand up at the moment.”

The customer must provide proof of residence and documentation that the property received damage due to the severe weather.

Examples of items found at the Restore include gently-used appliances, flooring, furniture, cabinetry, doors, windows, and tools at a fraction of the retail price. Proceeds go back toward home construction and home repair programs.

It’s located at 931 Lanier Drive in Madison and store hours are 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. weekdays; 9-6 p.m. Thursdays and 9-2 p.m. on Saturdays. Call (812) 273-9500 for more information.
