HANOVER MAN ARRESTED ON DEALING METHAMPHETAMINE CHARGES

Presumption of innocence until proven guilty in a court of law.

 On March 24, 2022 Madison Police Detectives Kyle Cutshaw and Ricky Harris arrested Shawn C. Buxton, 41, Hanover, on several narcotic related charges. Buxton's charges are the result of several controlled narcotics purchases conducted throughout 2022. As a result of the investigation, led by Detective Cutshaw, a search warrant was obtained for Buxton's Hanover residence. During a search of the residence and Buxton's person, Detectives located approximately an ounce of methamphetamine, U.S. currency, and drug paraphernalia. Buxton is facing the following charges:

Level 2 Dealing in Methamphetamine - 3 counts

Level 4 Possession of Methamphetamine - 3 counts

Buxton is expected to face another count of Level 2 Dealing in Methamphetamine and one count of Level 3 possession of Methamphetamine as a result of the items located during the execution of the search warrant and on Buxton's person during his arrest.

Detective Cutshaw was assisted in the investigation by Detective Ricky Harris, Chief John I. Wallace, Detective Jeremey Perkins, Patrolman Phillip Wimpee, Patrolman Jared Sweet, and the Hanover Police Department.

-Criminal charges are merely accusations. Buxton has the presumption of innocence until proven guilty in a court of law.
