Handel's Messiah Returns To Hanover College

It will take this Sunday on the Hanover College Campus

A local Christmas season tradition returns to the Hanover College campus Sunday, November 12th at 2 pm with the presentation of Handel's "Messiah."

The Fitzgibbon Recital Hall in the Lynn Center for Fine Arts will be filled with beautiful music when the Hanover College Concert Choir and Madison-Ohio Valley Community Chorus perform selections from the "Messiah."  We are very lucky to have the opportunity to experience this level of talent right here in our own community.

This MOVAC (Madison Ohio Valley Arts Council) production has been an annual favorite for over 45 years.  Performances were held at area churches in Madison until the community group joined with the Hanover College chorus. The performance has been held on the Hanover College campus since then under the direction of Hanover College Professor Dr. Madlen Batchvarova.

This year’s production is being sponsored by the Psi Iota Xi Sorority.  Their generous support over the years of this wonderful performance is greatly appreciated and has allowed us to continue to bring this joyous music to the community.

The performance is expected to last about an hour. Tickets are $5 and are available at the door.

The "Messiah" is a perfect way to kick off the Christmas season.
