(Jefferson, Co) - A flood watch has been issued for Jefferson County in southern Indiana and portions of north central Kentucky.
The flash flooding would be caused by excessive rain from Monday through Tuesday evening. Rainfall of about two inches is expected with higher amounts as a possibility.
The rain could cause flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood prone locations.
The Jefferson County Emergency Management Agency says to be prepared to act in the event of Flash Flood Warnings. They also say those living in an area prone to flooding need to be prepared to act should flooding develop.
