Flash Flood Watch In Effect Until 8 P.M. Tuesday

The National Weather Service out of Louisville has issued a flash flood for portions of Indiana and Kentucky.

(Jefferson County, Ind.) – There has been a flash flood watch issued for portions of southern Indiana and Central Kentucky.

Given heavy rainfall in recent days with the anticipated rainfall until Tuesday, flash flooding will be possible over a portion of central Kentucky and southern Indiana.

The National Weather Service out of Louisville has issued a flash flood for portions of Indiana and Kentucky.

Areas in Indiana are Clark, Floyd, Harrison, Jefferson, Scott, and Washington.

Kentucky areas are Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Bullitt, Casey, Clark, Fayette, Franklin, Garrard, Harrison, Henry, Jefferson, Jessamine, Lincoln, Madison, Marion, Mercer, Nelson, Nicholas, Oldham, Scott, Shelby, Spencer, Trimble, Washington, and Woodford.

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation. You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
