(Jefferson County, Ind.) - There is a flash flood watch in effect starting this evening into Friday morning at 8:00 a.m.
Steady rains are forecast this morning into the mid-afternoon hours as a warm front lifts north across central Kentucky. Heavy rainfall will also come with thunderstorms later this evening into the overnight hours.
The National Weather Service in Louisville has issued a Flash Flood Watch for portions of southern Indiana and central Kentucky. 1 to 2 inches of widespread rainfall is expected across the watch area through Friday morning.
Affected areas include Jefferson, Grayson, Woodford, Butler, Breckinridge, Trimble, Orange, Harrison, Scott, Crawford, Bullitt, Washington, Shelby, Spencer, Floyd, Oldham, Hancock, Hardin, Ohio, Henry, Dubois, Meade, Clark, Harrison, Franklin, Perry, Nelson, and Anderson.
