District Statement on Developing Situation Regarding SRO

Letter sent to parents regarding situation at MCS

August 29, 2022

Dear Madison families,

There is an ongoing external investigation surrounding a personnel matter. After receiving a report of misconduct filed on August 18, 2022, the district responded immediately and followed our statutory legal protocols notifying local and state agencies to investigate the claim. The employee was immediately placed on administrative leave on August 18, 2022.

This is an ongoing investigation and personnel matter and we are legally unable to discuss any details at this time. Our district will update stakeholders and be fully transparent once we receive the results of the investigation and decisions can be made based on the factual information received from law enforcement.

As always, student safety is our top priority and we appreciate your patience as we move through this process.

More updates will be communicated when made available to the district.

Sincerely,

Dr. Teresa Brown, Superintendent Madison Consolidated Schools
