Carrollton Man Arrested By MPD For Methamphetamine

(Madison, Ind.) – On March 9, the City of Madison Police arrested 36-year-old James F. Lucas of Carrollton, for possession of methamphetamine (level 6 felony).

Officers responded to a report that Lucas was standing in the driveway of a residence on Basswood Drive, creating a disturbance, while armed with a knife.

Lucas was taken into custody where officers located the methamphetamine, but not the knife.

Madison Police Sergeant Wayne Phillips led the investigation. Phillips was assisted by MPD Officers Nolan and Jackson, along with JCSD Deputy Shelpman.

All charges are alleged, and James F. Lucas has the presumption of innocence until otherwise proven guilty.
