Two missing people and two arrests
Saturday proved to be a busy day for the Sheriff's Office. In addition to the previously posted drug seizures; on Saturday morning, a Carroll County Deputy responded to a report of a small child in the roadway on KY 47 south of US 42 in Ghent. The two year old was transported by Carroll County EMS to the hospital for treatment of dehydration. Child Services responded. The mother was eventually located and charged with wanton endangerment 2nd. A special thanks to the good Samaritan who made the initial 911 call.
A second call on Notch Lick Road during the same time frame involved a missing person out of Trimble County. Volunteers, EMS, Westside Fire, KSP, Jailer Proctor, and Sheriff Gosser responded to the area and conducted search efforts. The subject was located and transported to the hospital for treatment due to a fall.
The Sheriff's Office is grateful for all the cooperation and teamwork by our much appreciated partners as we work to resolve incidents that arise.
On the afternoon of May 25, 2019, A Carroll County Deputy and a KSP Trooper responded to a complaint in the Happy Hollow area. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of an individual for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Tampering with Physical Evidence.
