Due to a water main break Thursday, November 21, 2019
on Washington Street. The City of Madison Water and Sewage Dept. has issued a boil water advisory for the affected for at least 48 hours.
The streets affected will be Washington, Fayette, Bassett and Harris.
Those who experience low to no water pressure are advised to boil water intended for consumption over the next 48 hours. Water used for consumption must be boiled for 3-5 minutes. For dishwashing in private residences, a few drops of bleach per gallon of water will also provide adequate disinfection.
