Additional financial pledges will be announced in the coming weeks
The City of Madison is announcing that an anonymous donor has pledged $100,000 toward Madison’s Stellar projects. Stellar projects include finishing the Madison Connector trail, improving local parks, rehabilitating historic buildings like the Cotton Mill, and repairing and replacing sidewalks.
“I am ecstatic about this generous pledge toward our Stellar projects. This is a validation of the importance of our Stellar designation and the projects we plan to complete over the next four years. I am grateful to the donor for this pledge and I am hopeful that it achieves the goal of encouraging other businesses, individuals, and organizations to make a strong financial commitment to the future of our community,” said Mayor Damon Welch.
Additional financial pledges will be announced in the coming weeks. Businesses and individuals that are interested in supporting the Stellar Madison Fund can contact Nicole Schell or Andrew Forrester at the Mayor’s Office or Bill Barnes at the Community Foundation.
